I do like the Nikolai who is a bit silly and almost exasperatingly flirtatious just as much as the melancholy one who keeps his vulnerabilities well-hidden and carries the weight of his country on his shoulders. I’m good both with him taking initiative or being wooed/seduced, both dominant or more passive/submissive, depending on whom he’s with.
Please absolutely feel free to experiment with obscure or less obvious pairings, I’m thinking Nikolai can use all the love he can get and he’s got plenty to give. Heartless is a really short (6 chapters!) erotic horror manga which you can find on scanlation sites! It is SO good and Patrick is my absolute fave-- I adore the way he struggles with hunting "monsters" for the cult-- are they really monsters? is he a monster? who/what exactly was his mother and how did his telepathy come to be? and the way he immediately snaps to "I can save him!" when he sees Manuel and just... never stops wanting to save him, whether it's from Naruko or from his own father. I'm also very very very into the way that he's extra-susceptible to incubus mojo and can't even touch Naruko without side effects-- would love to see that more hoho.

I've had a priest kink for as long as I can remember and boy howdy does Father Paul deliver. (His looks, charisma, those jeans, his goddamn voice, and when he's covered in blood make me all aflutter.)

I love how balls to the wall bonkers his religious fervor and belief in his "angel" are (though I do think John's dementia is the only reason for him erroneously believing that creature to be an angel in the beginning). Rafe is the embodiment of an entitled prick and poor little rich boy with daddy issues out the wazoo, so I can't help but adore him, especially with just how unhinged he is. He commits a lot of heinous acts throughout the series, but what really takes the cake for me is when he tries to kill Sarah—though that's mostly because I absolutely adore unhealthy, codependent, "us against the world" sibling relationships in fiction and would love such a Rafe/Sarah dynamic . . . well . . . Elena is one of my all-time favorite characters, and I love everything about her, but even so, I don't think she's some paragon of virtue who never did anything wrong; she most definitely made some poor choices over the years, but I don't care . . .
