Why Jake?
Jake’s a favourite character because he’s competent and cool under pressure while at the same time struggling with the (self-inflicted) consequences of having made a lot of bad decisions in the past — and becoming a better person in the process. He’s my LBD in this fandom because almost all his relationships are complete trainwrecks, so there’s lots of potential for angst and conflict and working through those to a better place.

Why Dutch?
I love competent characters and Dutch is super-smart and super-sneaky and can kick ass with the best of them. I love that she can be both tough as nails and soft as butter, capable of taking hard decisions and also being compassionate. She has a lot of psychological baggage but doesn't give the impression of having many hang-ups about sex, so I can see her being a fun and inventive partner in bed. Of course, she's also gorgeous and sexy and wears ridiculous-but-stylish outfits.
